Clear rules.
Visible limits.

BaZi has schools of interpretation. We do not pretend those differences disappear inside software. Pillar Atlas publishes the exact boundary choices used by this version and validates them against fixed regression examples.

Before you calculate

Questions worth asking.

What does this BaZi calculator show?+

Your Year, Month, Day, and—if known—Hour Pillars; the Day Master; hidden stems; Ten Gods labels; and a basic Five Elements count of the visible eight characters.

Do you store my birth details?+

No. Birth date, time, timezone, chart, and interpretation are processed in memory and never written to analytics storage. We keep anonymous funnel events and a one-way IP hash for rate limiting.

Why is true solar time not included?+

True-solar correction needs accurate longitude and a clearly chosen convention. Version 1 uses timezone-aware civil time rather than offering a location control that looks precise but may not be.

Can I calculate a chart without an exact birth time?+

Yes. Pillar Atlas returns the Year, Month, and Day Pillars and intentionally omits the Hour Pillar instead of guessing. Your Day Master still comes from the Day Pillar.

Why do BaZi calculators sometimes disagree?+

Timezone conversion, daylight-saving history, true-solar-time correction, solar-term boundaries, and the day rollover around midnight can all change a result. Compare the published method before comparing interpretations.

Can a BaZi chart predict my future?+

We do not make that claim. Use the chart as a cultural and reflective framework. Keep high-stakes medical, financial, legal, and relationship decisions grounded in appropriate evidence and expertise.
